Surfing The Nations (STN) is a nonprofit humanitarian organization based in Hawaii that uses surfing, community outreach, and humanitarian work to bring hope and transformation to people in need. STN serves local and international communities through feeding programs, youth mentorship, global missions, and leadership training—using surfing as a bridge to reach people with the love of Jesus.
-
As full-time missionaries with STN, we’ll be serving in multiple ways, including:
• Community Outreach: Feeding the hungry, mentoring at-risk youth, and supporting local families in need.
• Discipleship & Evangelism: Leading Bible studies, hosting prayer gatherings, and sharing the gospel through relationships.
• Surf & Serve: Using our love for surfing to connect with people, teach surf lessons, and build intentional relationships.
• Global Missions: Traveling to other nations with STN to serve communities beyond Hawaii.
•Raising Our Family on Mission: Living a life of faith, teaching our children to serve, and leading by example.

As full-time missionaries, we will not receive a salary from Surfing The Nations. Our ability to serve completely depends on God’s provision through generous partners who believe in this mission. Your support helps cover our basic living expenses (housing, food, transportation, ministry costs) so we can fully dedicate our time and energy to serving others.

Yes! We are grateful for our online business, but stepping into full-time missions means shifting our priorities. Running a business while serving full-time would limit our ability to fully pour into the mission work God has called us to. Supporters allow us to be fully present in ministry without the pressure of maintaining a business to fund our needs. However, those who choose to invest in ionized water through us also play a key role in supporting our mission!

Hawaii might seem like a paradise, but it has deep spiritual, economic, and social struggles—including poverty, homelessness, addiction, and broken families. The cost of living is high, and many local communities are in desperate need of hope, resources, and the love of Jesus.
Supporting a missionary in Hawaii is investing in a mission field just like anywhere else in the world. We are here to serve, not to vacation. Our mission is to bring light into dark places, serve the underserved, and make a lasting impact in the lives of those God calls us to reach.
Still have questions? We’d love to connect! Reach out to us or follow our journey on social media.

Great question! Like Paul, who made tents while preaching the gospel (Acts 18:3), we may still earn income through our online business—but ministry is our full-time calling.
While we’ve had financial success in business, stepping into full-time missions means our priority is serving, discipling, and giving fully to the work God has called us to. Running a business takes time, and we don’t want it to distract from the mission.
Paul sometimes worked to meet his needs, but he also relied on the church’s generosity to sustain his ministry (Philippians 4:16-17). In the same way, we are trusting God to provide through faithful partners who believe in this mission and want to be a part of it.
Your support allows us to focus on serving, not striving for income.
That said, we are still stewarding the opportunities God gives us—whether that’s through ionized water investments or occasional business income—but our heart is to be fully present in the mission field, not divided between business and ministry. Your financial partnership allows us to say YES to God’s calling without hesitation.
